Supply Assessment / Inventory

A tourism and recreation resources inventory is the preferred method for assessing a region's supply of tourism-related resources. The immediate benefit is that the information collected can be quickly uploaded to various websites and be used for developing brochures, direct mail pieces, and other promotional materials.  It will also serve as a means of identifying opportunities and gaps in the region’s overall tourism product, as well as helping to identify potential funding and marketing partners.

However, not all categories in this inventory contain complete information due to lack of one place to obtain some of the data. If you notice that some information is incomplete or incorrect, please contact us at herbowic@msu.edu with correct information and a source where this information can be verified.
